Good catch- ty for the info. I didn't see that part the first read through- says neither Mom nor baby was vaccinated in all three cases.

Essentially, parents could be pro-vaccine, but because others around them - in grocery stores, public areas, etc. - are not vaccinated, whooping cough spreads. These poor parents then get to watch their brand new baby die from whooping cough- with their baby gasping for air and slowly turning blue.

Babies are not able to get vaccinated for whooping cough until 2 months old- then 4mos, 6mos, ~18mos, and 4yrs as part of a 5 shot series. They are vulnerable to the disease even if the parents are on normal vaccine schedules.

When you look at pictures of your family in your house- and you know they died in that war- it brings an entirely different perspective than someone not touched by it.
