The government's plans to train more teachers are working.

The numbers training this year, 32k, is the highest since the pandemic.

It is 11% higher than last year.

For the first time ever the target for trainees in STEM subjects has been exceeded, with over 6700 in training, a 21% increase.

The lead journalist at the BBC falsley accusing the Chancellor of deliberately miselading the public really ought to be a resigning matter (albeit he wasn't the only culprit).

Journalists involved in pushing this should consider the damage done to democracy & public trust in politicians.

This should have been a good PMQs for Kemi Badenoch but I'm not sure it was. A bit unfocused, and felt like it was fighting the battle of a few days ago, given Reeves' position isn't really under any threat. Keir Starmer sounded quite strong on child poverty.
