If you came to any of my book events you might recognize this design on my bookmarks (L). It recreates a meme I saw on Twitter (R). My niece Michele painted my cat Amber in the shape of Taiwan, and her sister Jenny designed the bookmark to my specifications. I love it so much 😻 #6, #30daysofwhimsy

We don’t often find whimsy at work so it’s extra delightful when we do. I use Asana for project management and one of the things I love about it is “celebrations” — every time you mark a task done, a little unicorn or other magical animal goes flying across your screen 😄🦄 Day 5, #30daysofwhimsy

Having a hard time with the daylight savings time change? Me too, but a dumpling night light might help (this one is made by Smoko) 🥟💡 Day 4, #30daysofwhimsy

In 2021 I bought these awesome Adidas x Marimekko sneakers and I get SO many compliments on them. A few months ago I was delighted to see a Marimekko boutique at the Copenhagen airport w/ the same pattern on one of its pillars. It felt like visiting the mother ship! 😄 Day 3, #30daysofwhimsy

Here’s a double dose of whimsy—Teddy in his raincoat and with his twin pillow. Teddy is the dog my dad adopted after my brother Ted passed in 2010, who was then adopted by my nephew after my dad passed in 2016. My nephew dotes on Teddy & posts the most adorable updates 🥰 Day 2 of #30daysofwhimsy

The news is heavy these days so I’m doing a little project to cheer myself up—and maybe you, too. From Nov. 1-30 I’m going to share 1 whimsical thing every day—a photo, object, memory, or repost. Follow along and join if you like!

Look at this adorable Totoro bubble wand! Day 1, #30daysofwhimsy

Everyone’s focused on the guy in the fedora, but I need to know about the woman in the background who is definitely going to write a novel about this
