OPCD did extensive outreach across the city, holding meetings and doing neighborhood walks and doing virtual town halls and taking THOUSANDS of comments from people across the city, but some people didn't like the outcome. That's what happened.

Uses of the funds: double the size of the CARE alternative responder team; expand fire's post-overdose team; more funding for LEAD and DESC; more money to CARE as well for dispatchers etc.; a tiny bit for new firefighter recruits.
