It occurs to me that the last time I was in Italy there was a train strike in Milan that almost prevented me from catching my plane...
The moral is, if you're taking a train in Italy, leave lots and lots of time just in case

I had big plans to land in Palermo airport & take the direct train to Agrigento. Unfortunately, there is a train strike. I'm now trying to get a bus. (but of course the train company charged me for the non-existent train that isn't running so I need to decide if I want the hassle to get my $20 back)

They just made it easy for me. Entrance to the cocktail party in the bar is free but you have to pay for the food & drinks 🙄. Bed it is.
I have this feeling they're going to get a lot of complaints from other guests who thought free meant something other than being allowed to go in the hotel bar

This morning I went to Ostia Antica, And if anyone ever told you that 2 hours is sufficient to see it, tell them they're a liar. I spent four and it really wasn't enough.

One of the really old guys in this hotel is now having a phone call in the breakfast room on speakerphone. I hope he is truly miserable in his little pod room.

I kept seeing travel advice not to use Ubers in Italy because they were so much more expensive than taxis. Well, I just booked an Uber to the airport on Friday morning, and it was 5 euro cheaper then the flat rate for a taxi to the airport 🤷 .

Omg. I am staying in a CitizenM hotel. If you are not familiar with the chain, they are kind of a young and funky brand that are not for everyone. Very comfortable king size beds & good showers but tiny pod type rooms with funky decor.

I lost my gloves. There's a shot I left them in a restaurant a 15-minute walk away. Do I feel like walking to the restaurant to see or fuck it?
