Just a quick update. I have a journey page now. In its current form it's mostly a cobbled together list, but I plan on refining it a bit.

By rewriting a lot of stuff in OpenDeck, I finally made my #ajazz #streamdeck AKP05 work with #linux. My #rust is a bit rusty 🤓. OpenDeck has officially dropped support for all devices except the Elgato ones, so I had to fiddle around quite a bit.

I replaced tmux + kitty with just #wezterm. It's beautiful and fast. Having my config in Lua is also a nice benefit. Thanks @wezfurlong.org ❤️

The best single-player massively-multi-player role-playing game by far is Old-School RuneScape.

Finally updated my uses page at gorilla.moe/uses .. I have been using the ZSA Voyager for at least 6 months now and the uses page was still showing my previous lovely pok3r limited edition as my daily keyboard 🙈

Played #osrs today again. I'm a newbie and paused for nearly a full month. Wanted to chill and just slay some goblins on mobile. Died the first time due to some guard killing me for whatever reason. Really stressed me out, because I had to get my stuff back within 15 minutes and got attacked again.

Been working on a shared core library for the Kulala family (getkulala.net). The goal is to have a core that takes care of parsing .http files and executing requests including the scripting part, so not every client has to reimplement that on their own.

Kulala
Kulala is a a minimal REST-Client Interface and set of tools for working with RESTful APIs. It also supports GraphQL.

I'm sure I've said this before, but if you're still not following the Bluesky-created "Best of Follows" feed, you really should. I check mine daily. IMO it's what a "trending" feed really should look like, and it nails it in a way that Twitter never really could. bsky.app/profile/did:...

Had some rollupjs tooling with plugin-ts which broke docker builds in bitbucket CI at work 🙈 I was migrating stuff to @bun.sh anyway, so the easy fix was to use bun as a bundler which did not break CI anymore and was faster. Only downside, I have to run the compiled version with `bun --node`, ...

I don't know if it's just us, but Google Cloud Monitoring seems to have an outage. At least the part that is integrated into Google Chat and can post to Spaces.

We're not receiving any notifications since around 14 CEST / UTC+0200.

if you have to cmd-click your way through multiple layers of uncle-bob-style 4-6 line function calls to understand what a given line of code does, retaining context the whole time, your chances of forming an accurate mental model of the codebase diminish substantially.

Millions of followers ≠ engagement. @theguardian.com has 1.4m followers on Threads with almost no engagement. On Bluesky, links can get 3–4x more clicks than likes.

The real question isn’t “how many followers do you have?” but “what kind of engagement do you get?”

Why is everyone fleeing from @github.com right now? I read about the CEO leaving, but that alone freaks people out to throw everything over the board?

IMHO github is still the best platform out there. Bitbucket is really lacking a lot of stuff, @gitlab.com is probably the only real contender.

Deep-linking has never been easier. When you click on a headline, it automatically copies the link to your clipboard.

I'm so tired of sending and requesting .env files to either enable coworkers to start developing locally or to be able to develop locally myself. It's a mess to have to ask for the latest .env file via Slack, Google Chat, Teams or Email 🙈

Working on getzana.net the last few days made it finally usable for me as my daily driver 🎉. It went from barely usable (just a bit more than a proof of concept), to helping me manage all of my language servers, linters and formatters.
Zana
Zana is Mason.nvim, but maintained by the community. A package manager for Neovim and more. Easily install and manage LSP servers, DAP servers, linters, and formatters.

@bashbunni.dev 👋🏾 glad you made it over here! I tried to reach out to you via email, but didn't hear back. Either it went straight to spam/trash, or you quite busy. Would love to hear back, even if it's just a "not interested" 🙏🏾

- YouTube

In no particular order and I'm mostly consuming and not creating 😴🙈
