The profiteering issues do not invalidate a tool. The printing press does not make publishing any worse because I didn’t write each letter by hand and someone printed terrible slop. We should be focusing on giving access to these tools and understanding them.

I see AI as a tool, no different than using 3d printers, or a CNC, or similar. Tools can be used to make low quality kitch or high quality art. There are definitely problems with profiteering, but you still have to make choices and curate with the tool like before.

And of course today is actually a Tuesday, so that’s a great indicator of where my brain is :/
