I feel the same in life too. I don't mind huge crowds and the best way to feel less out of sorts is to get on public transit and read near other people.

Looks lovely! So far no more snow here in Toronto. It'll be a while now because I've put my winter tires on so that should keep the snow away for a few weeks at least.

Hopefully all the weird MAGA heads on there have moved on though. That last week there was horrible.

I think I'm rejoining even though I have to earn back everything I used to have. (RIP my old Tron bike!) It's kind of exciting though to have all those goals ahead of me.

I liked their privacy and encryption though it made it slow so we moved to @fastmail.com - This was also not a good look for Proton, IMO. thoughtportal.org/2025/02/26/p...

As an aside, I was surprised to find that while I was partly pleased about it, I was mostly stressed - waiting for horrible trolls - fortunately only a few and I just quickly deleted their posts and blocked the user quietly. I am most certainly *not* suited to be an influencer!

Yeah. When I lived south of the 401 in Thorncliffe, I would commute to Dufferin and Steeles and would go up Banbury across Fifeshire and then cross the 401 at Yonge using the pedestrian way. Not ideal but works well. I still use it when I go south.

The Kobo interface to Libby is nice but maddening as it doesn’t tell you that if a book is on Overdrive but not Kobo it won’t automatically download. You have to download to your PC first. Now I have libby, kobo and Instapaper on a dedicated iPad with no browser to distract myself with.

I had the same pile. Then I unplugged from Amazon and though I intended to remove their DRM I screwed up and lost them all. So far I have not felt any desire to read any of them in the past year or so. Mostly now I use kobo for purchasing but libby is my primary go to for reading.

I want to see those small gaps closed but oh boy what a difference a proper 400 crossing has made. Too bad it’s like we traded the east end 401 crossing for it.
