I’m a senior and buying an advantage plan is always optional. In reality, independent Medicare insurance specialists largely counsel against it bc of all the pre-auths, etc required. Most of us go with a Gap plan. Not that this isn’t bad—it’s awful, but we should state the facts. No one is forced.
