The 2nd one being bad for democracy isn’t a given if a democratic administration really could imperial republicans with enough prison so that this never happened again, but the institutional power to do such a thing is lacking. both the laws and the people with guns are lacking.

we will simply have to stop building suburbs. there’s no way to square their existence and a meaningfully green society.

there are multiple studies that show that people with depression do better on reciting world realities/facts then people who don’t. we have basically created a machine that does depression for everyone. and in turn some people turn to conspiracy to explain it all.

like everything about anything in a group, median, or real measure is better right now than 30, 40 years ago; % of income spent on housing & rent, amount of $ families have in savings, net worth, starting wages, etc., but back then people didn’t know and were all hopped up on lead & cocaine or w/e
