Saw this little European polecat frantically foraging the freshly cut grass. It found plenty of frogs and mice and didn't really react to our presence (not sure if that's a good thing, it also didn't react to a passer-by with dog). At one point I was close enough to be able to pick it up.

I saw the article about the game "Aaargh condor!". The funniest title for one of the crappiest games of the C64.
So bad they did a title screen competition on CSDb csdb.dk/event/?id=3025

Ok, I did feel a bit adventurous.
But having the attention span of a 2 year old, I just threw a bunch of colours on a C64 multicolour bitmap.
This self portrait is actually a bit flattering (in reality I wasn't smiling and looked more tired) even though it looks like a clown-school dropout :D

Ok, I did feel a bit adventurous.

The people who made this made a similar looking game on the C64 before this: Laser Squad. I wonder if that had accurate line of sight and collision too

I think I will struggle with this game the most.
You have limited energy, spells that only work on certain enemies (which for which you have to find out) and only in a limited way (make it stop for a second f.i.) and every use cost you energy. And a time limit!

Last week I made a demo for Christmas.
I thought my idea would go with the style of webcomic www.oglaf.com (NSFW!) so I tried to make the demo in that style.

I was asked last night to make a drawing for a crack of a simple game. It's about a snow man catching snow flakes.
This is what I came up with. Looking back I found the final version cleaned up too much. Also in the time I had I didn't dare add buildings in the background.

You say that, but in the 80s this was a thing in the Netherlands. You could buy it, wear it and if you pulled it down the whistle worked 😅

ZOO demo party took place this weekend in Finland. I wasn't there but a few of my group mates were.
I did compete in the graphics compo and reached 12th place (no prices for guessing who won :))
