The Crazies is one of my go to films for how character, structure, story and tone is done right. I remember seeing Timothy Olyphant in Hitman but it wasn’t until The Crazies and Justified, that made me a lifetime fan of his work. Actually, Justified made me feel the same way about Walton Goggins.

I don’t have time to read but the titles good, but you might want to look at shorter ones. Bad pitch: OVERTIME up to you. You’re jumping into a pretty full pool with similar “let’s get past the Zombies” stories. But I like your take. If tone’s like Shawn of the Dead, you’ll have gold on those pages.
