Ben from Crudely Drawn Swords
@glenatron.bsky.social
GM and producer and music composer for Crudely Drawn Swords, lead guitarist for The Patient Wild, Game Designer for The Hallowed Walk and Trilogy, Programmer, Horse Trainer, dork-ass-loser and now apparently novelist?
I picked a random pose from @trueref.bsky.social to try and draw today then spent the whole freaking day trying to sketch it out until I finally got the proportions right. I picked it because it looked easy and I was so wrong, which is how you can tell I still have a lot to learn. (No actual nudity)

Early to say about an album from this year but the combination of consistently great songwriting and a strong narrative throughline means I think this one will endure and I don't want to dive too deep into nostalgia.

He's called Cash but I don't know whether he knows that because I'm always calling him stupid names like "Schnubbit" and "Smooshkin" - the happiest and sweetest little horse, he just never has the slightest idea what is going on.

Another black horse related anniversary passed me by because I wasn't thinking back that far, but the Thursday before last marks 20 years since the arrival of the first horse who was ever "mine." He taught me a lot and set me on a path I'm still working at.

Six years ago I met this little round man in a field living with some cows. He had belonged to the daughter of the builder that replaced our kitchen roof and she had lost interest in ponies so he'd been languishing for a while. These days he is a very useful little riding horse, and dearly loved.

Times when I say "so long":
❎ When I am saying goodbye to someone.
✅ When the cat does a big stretch.

We went in search of autumn colours and found less than I had hoped for, and got a bit rained on, but the woods are always gorgeous and we saw deer and a goldcrest and so many fungi.

I had a cover that somehow made Ged whiter, although being more stylised is better (to my eye) in other regards.

The Redstone Rescue is a low fantasy detective adventure story in which the famous detective's sidekick steps in to protect the utopia she calls home. Topically this week, it begins with a stolen crown. Packed with mystery, peril, romance, and some good jokes. turnanother.page/book/the-red...

Not a great photo on account of phone and distance but this is my intensely earshy (and muddy) pony with a magpie on his head.
