Old rough head bust of an Aptonoth relative featured in the fangame side of Monster Hunter Isles. Square head, robust hard beak, with a nasal horn protruding above the nares. Adorned with a axe like frill behind the head, mainly a display feature. A smaller species of omnivorous pigbrush known as the Bogflock (𝖮𝗇𝗒𝖼𝗁𝗈𝖻𝖺𝗌𝗎𝗋𝖺 𝗇𝖺𝗎𝗌𝗂𝖺𝖿𝗅𝖺𝗍𝗎𝗌). A bipedal m, filamentous beaked reptilian creature with a fuzzy/brushy tail with some adorned specialized spines on the back. A brightly colored crest similar to looking at an eclipse, having huge strong claws & lean yet muscular hindlimbs. Best known for having a chemical spray & flatulence that’s primarily made of napalm. The Calloused Beast (no binomials yet), a large highly territorial mammal native to the badlands of Cladochrone. Pictured is the average cow (foreground) & bull (background) of the species.

(Note: Dons has been documented to get well bigger than what is shown here) Current render of a Dragoneater in its ancient habitat with in non-flowering steppe in Cladochrone’s natural history. While much is still unknown, its appearance is strikingly close to the real animal in life from what we know.

A quick rushed snapshot of a day in the Morrono Basin, a well documented saltine environment in the world of Cladochrone (official name for “Permotriad” for those wondering). In the forefront is a mid sized semiaquatic squamate feasting off the remains of a decomposing coleoid which had attracted halophilic odonatans, a fiddler-like crab, a horseshoe crab, and even a late surviving microbrachid rummaging in the sands. In the back, more of the squamates are seen preparing for breeding seasons near the rocky formations where a pterosaur colony is active. Spectember 2024 Days 1-3 “Latest Creation” A brand new creature made for Glavecosmia. 𝘒𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘱., a resident within the harsher climates of the unknown frontiers of the planet superficially similar to entelodont mammals, albeit that’s as far as convergence goes… “Heir” A reconstruction of the extinct basal member of 𝙂𝙚𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙞𝙖, a unique radiation within 𝘈𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 in Cladochrone. This taxon, named 𝘎𝘦𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳, is the earliest known branch found which gives us an early picture of how the later Indominosuchians will soon inherit the planet into their domain alongside their sisters. “Survivor” 𝑰𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒊, as known as 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙, are the last surviving species of nimravid within Perditus Mundi, my lost world pantheon spec. Garfields are generally a reclusive species within their deep rainforest homes, only coming out around dusk or twilight hours as they sleep throughout daylight. Living in a world where non avian dinosaurs and other extinct branches still persist, mammals still remain on top but must give way to their archosaurian competitors. One weird fact about these false saber-toothed cats is they have a tendency to be excessively lazy animals and have a strong taste for lasagna pasta… A really early WIP look at 𝑨𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒈𝒉𝒖𝒍 𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓, based on Erlidomimus from Jurassic World Alive (JWA). It is a recently extinct member of the Indominosuchians, placed within the younger branch called Indominosauroidea & then within the Suchotherizinidae clade as the youngest taxon within it. It is well known as a swift omnivorous reptile, replying on various prey & food resources to survive in a hostile ecosystem. They’re best known for their prickly presence composed of filament-like spiny osteoderms, quill like structures & elongated scales found throughout the body.

Being considered the planet’s very first documented ‘megatheropods’, D. pantodynamopes was unlike anything seen on Earth, living in a world where their once pseudosuchian & therapsid overlords haven’t lost their full dominion. N. mologgoensis is an undisputed member of the rhynchosaur lineage, a group of Triassic archosauromorphs that filled the niches of small burrowers and small-mid sized herbivores. Nearly 70 million years after their latest confirmed harvests of the clade, some began to tap into large herbivorous niches due to the localized absence of competing lystrosaurs & procolophonians. Larger rostrums, expansion of jaw muscles, enlarged skulls, & even protrusion of the frontal & posterior end of the cranium almost like a “frill” alike in early marginocephalians of Earth. Having one of the most strongest powerful bites in the animal kingdom, it is able to pulverize and disintegrate everything from shells to bone to live coral rock to even some amount of pure limestone! Once evolving from toothless beaked marine placodonts, they now hold a major assemblage of modern durophages within shallow reefs and open benthic zones. While most large dicyndonts have been exclusively dominated by the Triassic Kannemeyeriiforms, many Permian dicynodont lineages have & still obtain large body sizes throughout time after the Harvest Age. This taxon however, is one no one would’ve thought was possible; a giant late surviving far descendant of the Pylaecephalids, showcasing a vast ghost lineage nearly 100 million years & many planned revisions of previous dicynodont fossils waiting to be correctly analyzed. These raging megaherbivores have shown little resilience to expanding their natural ranges over the last 34 million years, showing a well sampled anagenesis directly competing many other dicynodonts, archosaurs & co. with little resistance. Day 2-4 of Spectember using the Spec Council prompt, already behind but fuck it we ballin!
“Intimidate”: A nondescript mountain living crocodyliform tries to sneak up on an unsuspecting giant caterpillar. Little did she know she had unprovoked a mature individual of the same species; a “small” yet gigantic lepidopteran endemic exclusively to these strange highlands. “Stone eater” While snagging a particular crag of Abyssal beryl from lush ore deposits of the inner Recess, a Doda, or juvenile Dodogama, has escaped with its necessary haul for potential consumption. Unfortunately, it had been spotted by a subadult Barnos who was surveying its mating territory mid-route. Luckily, a small thief wyvern like itself can suffice as potential mate lure…if you can catch it that is… “Living Superstructure” A pair of saltwyrms relax after riding through strong waves and currents on their way home after a successful stormy hunting trip. However, they see a new visitor and begins to investigate. Covered in what seems to be 2 colonial bodies taking hold of a now deceased marine creature, they quickly back off from the sheer foreign sight of it. Unbeknownst to them, one touch from this “zombie” could had one of them end up as a new fungal body for these parasites.

Day 1, “Oldest Spec Critter”. There’s barely any names to all of the denizens and monstrosities from my past (I was 4 😭) so just picked an interesting one and did my modern take of it. Certainly one of the most bizarre species I made early on, and even more bizarre in 2023 nonetheless!
(Left) The Original; a retro anurognathid-like reptilian organism living into the mires and mangroves of Glavecosmia, using its semi-flexible leathery wings to glide into the murky depths to wait out for unsuspecting prey. (Right) The Retcon; an ACTUAL anurognathid adapted to be a freshwater shore predator in the northern tropical & temperate reaches of Permotria. While they still can fly and climb efficiently, it has become more dense and large to tackle larger aquatic prey as it perched along rocks and hollows in/out of the water.

Wagwan, this is Glave or some know as Adrian(gov name that’s crazy 😭). Anyways I’m a Jamaican paleo/spec nerd creating interesting worlds & settings about how crazy and wondrous life can be. One is Glavecosmia (known from my twt), but instead will talk about my new setting Permotriad here only!

They’re an assemblage of uncertain group of highly derived agnathan fish that converge with other various bony fish clades with mouthparts similar to lampreys, hagfish, and of course, conodonts. This species are particularly frugivorous feeding on various types of “gymnofruits” and other fruiting bodies in their canopy homes.
