A cheesesteak, but made w Camembert and venison (though beef and provolone are damn fine, too). Caramelized onions, of course, and a really good baguette.

Do you have a drink that uses boiled cider? I was going to go simple (just club soda), and I will try that, but I was wondering if there are sprits that would add to it. Ginger would also not be amiss, I bet. But alcohol?

I try to do my part.
(I was at our alma mater when he won, and I remember the pall over the campus. The election night "party" I attended was a wake; little did we know just how bad it would be.)

Posts/articles like this expand my sense of Tolkien. I love the nuance, and it's as good an example of implicit bias as I can imagine. I, too, Love JRRT--I've read LOTR 25-30 times, at least--but have def come to see it in a new light. Thank you.

My grandmother was a dressmaker, did alterations, did fancy needlework (applique, embroider, needlepoint, crewelwork), knit, crochet, all the things. I love your threads because they make me think of her (and my mom, who does a lot of it).

Thank you; I couldn’t figure out how to basically say he should show how ”easy“ it is to follow his own advice.

So he’ll be willing to live on ONLY the food he can purchase for the amount of SNAP benefits his family would qualify for, given the income necessary for $4200/year? Otherwise, here’s a cup of STFU for him.

Also: the guy who made the bread could tell the flour was from a new wheat crop just by working with it. Didn’t even need to see the info on the bag.

I read instructions about how to make croissants for YEARS & didn’t quite believe how to do it. Then I went to pastry school, learned the basics, worked in a bakery, and made thousands of them. Eventually you can feel it when the dough & lamination are “right.” You have to DO it to know it.

So we’ll see him in a pod that doesn’t open? I’d pay for that.

How long before they get a high-paying job in a R administration or a “think” tank or at a TV network and it’s written off as them being “young”?

I think of it as the place to go for people who heat rather than for people who cook (and no shade for the former); there are a lot of partially made things. not my jam, but also totally get the vibe and I’m glad it exists & works for people.

Ohhhh, routine is the thing. Back when I was focused on running or walking EVERY morning, I relied on my routine of getting up and just putting on the clothes to do that. It was effective in ignoring the part of my brain that was whining "NOOOOOO" (or whispering "you can skip TODAY").
