It must be a measurable fact that everyone’s life was better before Stephen Miller and Nigel Farage became a thing.

Absolutely this. I was a Sunday School teacher in my late teens. My eyes were opened when I was baptised and started to attend church meetings. I realised that most members were just there for appearances. Lot of back-stabbing went on and I started to question what religion was about. I'm an athiest
