i would've preferred the story without that set dressing but then it wouldn't have been the same movie in any way shape or form so! what can ya do

without spoilers, i think the plot took a few too many Twists&Turns TM for my taste. i liked how it all came together in the end but i feel like some of the Twists&Turns TM were unnecessary to the overall story. wrt the church: christianity is set dressing, but not inherent to what it's saying imo

i have a migraine now but still a good day. i think wake up dead man is my least favorite of the knives out movies but i enjoyed it a lot! i had some problems with the pacing and there were a few times where the focus on christian faith specifically weirded me out a bit, but overall good movie imo

i haven't heard of this game but it sounds awesome! i have a few friends that i know will be really into it that i can't wait to show

(i made a short film in high school where the characters watching alphaville was very thematically relevant (and it included clips of alphaville and everything) after i had to give a presentation on alphaville and enjoyed watching it but that's the extent of my french new wave know-how)

surprise! the media server was a long con to get all my friends into french new wave cinema

(this is a joke, not because that wouldn't be a motivation, but because i have seen very few french new wave movies and feel weird implying i know a lot about it)
