I really liked the desert although it should've had more stuff in it. those zelda like shrines were a pretty great addition to the game and riding on the bike is kinda just inherently fun

my biggest problem in prime 4 is the NPCs being prominent in 2 of the areas and the areas all being incredibly linear. even the most mazelike area, the ice belt, is just a single route with rooms scattered around it

like so much of what makes dark souls 1 good is the fact that it's stuffed within a pringles tube it's also the reason why every area past anor londo sucks and also why the DLC is bad outside of the artorias fight

where as thunder, blizzard and fire blast are just available for you to buy the instant you get to goldenrod

like in HGSS if you dont want to spam voltorb flip for hours you need to wait until the very late game until you get ice beam(seafoam), thunderbolt(cerulean cave) and flamethrower(route to mt silver)

you've always been able to buy power but the consistent versions of those moves (ice beam, flamethrower, etc.) are either available through gambling (incredibly expensive) or through sidequest and late game items
