Being on the surface of a planet is a rare opportunity. Most of the time matter is encased in rock which will eventually be consumed by a star circling around a galaxy before falling into a black hole. We ought to consider this before trashing the planet.
Our bigger enemy by far is the republican party that has no shame in its corruption. They are the party that attracts racists, fascists, Nazis, and the greediest, most selfish m'fers around who pollute our world for their gain. And their entire voter base goes along with this shit... because why?

45 years of democrats folding when there were key votes that would have saved this country from the austerity measures inflicted on us by republicans. I think the Democratic party deserves all the criticism it gets. We need an actual workers party, not more Reps run by lobbyists. But still...

I would agree except our police need training in policing too. Just my own belief that law enforcement should be focused on protecting our rights, not on being a bad-ass tough guy who gets off from bossing people around. ICE is in the business of human trafficking. That shit just needs to stop.

Trump has nothing to stand on but his own bullshit marketing speak.

The Roman gods have returned, seeking their life of leisure off the backs of human labor.

Every government regulation is what stands between us and exploitation. Free market capitalism sounds nice but a peak under the hood shows it is just the capitalist way of paying less for labor and resources and being able to pollute this world with impunity.

Yep. When are the rulings of judges against Trump going to actually hold any teeth? Where is the breakdown? I bet I would be locked up quick if I defied a judge's order. Seeing the ineffectiveness of court orders is a sign our government is crumbling.

Good observation! In short, they are political opportunitists, not actual leaders. But I'm sure the details are worse than that sounds.

Watch as all the construction company lobbyists come knocking at his door. If it is anything like it is here in Colorado, it goes like this: We need better schools, to improve schooling for our kids. So they build new schools and give us better buildings. And that is called school improvement.

The machine keeps turning and too many people are afraid to change that.

Won't any of these Amazon workers think about Bezos? Geez, the guy can't get a break if unions take over. The 1.5 million Amazon workers need to know their economic sacrifices are deeply appreciated by Jeff, the executives, and all the shareholders.

Life, actual living, under capitalism is propped up by regulations. But capitalists quickly forget that when an extra buck can be put in their pocket. Our politics has amounted to people making headway by putting regulations in place followed by years of free market believers chipping away at them.

It is interesting to note that most animals that became fossilized did so out of some tragic event that killed them, such as a flood or earthquake that buried them into the sand or mud. Those that died on the surface, their bodies were eaten and decomposed. Even the bones would waste away into dust.

Our whole economic model depends on the generosity and kindness of the most greedy people on the planet.
