Although formally a science and mathematics educator, I am somewhat a polymath. I’ve held almost every position there is in K-12 schools. My ‘easy’ - as in subject that I taught the most - is Physics. One of my chief skills is adjusting abstract concepts to general audiences.

It was hot today (28°C), and I had an appointment, so had to go out. I squeezed in another task, as tomorrow is meant to be worse. The ‘pest control’ people actually turned up at about 11:30am.

I agree. It was about appearing to do something. The real issue is the big social media companies being completely derelict in enforcing any standard of civil conduct.
The Australien Government has made an ad about the Social Media Ban for Under-16s, and it's surprisingly honest and informative.

Why are anti-trans bigots so obsessed with trans people?

There are multiple answers to this:

* they want to be
* they feel threatened by them, mostly because political actors have encouraged disinformation to spread 1/23

Much cooler today, a very comfortable 24°C. The week ahead is a bit of a rollercoaster for temperatures. 3 hot, 2 cool, hot again. I pay close attention to it because I get very affected by heat, and don’t have a lot of control about which days I leave the house.

Well, the Krampus didn’t take me away. He must have had bad intel. 😂 Day 3 of a heatwave here, 34°C and quite oppressive to be out in. We spent the day in our air-conditioned room. It was again pretty quiet in the sharehouse.

Incredibly petty behaviour. Also not her legal name, and a breach of privacy.

Am I being attacked here? I can’t decide. I used the phrase ‘provable falsehoods’ in regard to terf dogma. I feel lumped in with bigots here.
Who are you aiming that at? I’m one of the teachers that they removed for existing whilst trans in a religious school.

Hint: ALWAYS make it clear who your comment is addressing.

Especially when dealing with people who are autistic.

Day 2 of the heatwave. We stayed home, no business to take us places. Chris got a text that Centrelink would call him today. As of 7:30pm, they hadn’t. Yet he was trying to stay alert in case they called … and has narcolepsy.

Interesting read. I can’t comment directly, as my divorce was one of a cis woman and a trans woman.

Divorce rate drops to lowest in 50 years but it's not all good news — especially for women
Falling divorce rates mask the reality that women still face stigma, financial insecurity and limited choices when leaving relationships.

Of course she’s still spouting her disinformation in the public arena.

Anti-trans beliefs are only beliefs, and are not backed by science.

I’m tired of us giving oxygen to provable falsehoods.
