This is a lot of fun, and feels like a classic game from the 80s. Great idea and great execution!

How many are quality versus trash? I can't say, but to your original point, it's very likely a small fraction of meaningful creators versus a wide range of slop. But I think the ones who do it well can be a boon... if their platform's algorithm or audience gives them the flexibility.

At worst, it's free publicity for games. At best, such a content creator is finding a way to connect their audience to a game that exceeds what even seasoned marketing professionals can do. And they can find patterns or trends that even QA may miss.

I think about Dunkey, who certainly has a lot of [purposely] silly content. But I also got to know him through videos where he's thinking in such an outside-the-box way that he can find a way to make even terrible games more interesting.

You know, I used to feel the same way until I saw a few good ones. I'm not into watching livestreams, but I do enjoy a tailored video where someone can explore the mechanics in an engaging way. Some are really good at exploiting mechanics and showing more potential than any generic trailer.

And so much love and credit to the mods and contributors, especially our glorious leader @five5sixers.bsky.social, who made this massive project seem easy during such a wild and chaotic year.

This was a great project and great group. Now please go enjoy our love for this underrated franchise!

Why am I just realizing that there had to have been another Jon Talbain fan in a project about Bloody Roar. We're the perfect people to give Jon some love.

We need to bring this energy to Amazon and Walmart. Amazon is too powerful and it needs a competitor that is kinder to it's employees, customers, and affiliate businesses (read: doesn't steal ideas, doesn't over work the staff, doesn't play games with pricing, etc).

Love to hear recommendations for classic anime. And it's on Archive.org! Anyone can find the OVA and follow up series there. archive.org/details/orgu...

Agreed! I think something like World of Horror world well because you're seeing more, and in motion. I think against the notebook background, it blends in.

Can't wait to see more!
