Love the aesthetic. The combat menu reminds me of Atlus' ability to put style into even the most mundane elements of a game, and the FIT system seems interesting. I'm weirdly most interested in unlocking new color palettes despite my love and nostalgia for the gameboy filter.

Very cool, can't wait!

When I lived abroad in China, slow cooked jerk chicken and is what I missed the most.

After coming back, Liangpi was what I missed the most here in the US (and now must search desperately for it in every city I go).

As I get older, I'll miss both, because wooo, spicy food is hard on the body now

#TheRunningMan has many opinions. Here's mine:

1) the "what if the tech bros & fascists win?" feels timely.

2) Powell's Richard = our rage against this world, which punishes good people

3) plot conveniences do abound

4) "let's stop the greedy people who control us" really hits hard by the end

Really enjoyed playing the #Dispatch demo from @adhocstudio.com . I was looking forward to a great Telltale narrative game but found myself enjoying the Dispatching even more (esp. managing a team of misfits and their quirks). I definitely recommend it! (I just hope they add more gamepad support!)

A) 50th anniversary attention of any kind for Storm: yes.

B) she's taking on actual thunder gods

C) love the diversity, designs, Kirby influence, and usage of these lesser known thunder gods! By @lucianovecchio.bsky.social

Next: Storyteller's Weekly Journal. Not usually a fan of such books. There's no foolproof way to success. But I really love the attention to mentally healthy routines and researching your genre/medium to increase chance of creative, critical & commercial success.

"Using an image, show a movie you have watched more than ten times."

How about four movies and how about more than twenty times (probably)

Don't know how to solve this but I find it funny that it quoted you while doing exactly the same thing. You have been proven correct, it's definitely a bot.

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the theater as a kid

I watched these in the theater and then every day on VHS

Recommending the Sculptor also makes me want to recommend Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird. Another great book for creatives to re-evaluate what success and happiness looks like and take a step back from preconceptions. Puts me in a very Daoist mindset!

A man makes a deal with death: magically sculpt anything with his hands, but only 200 days to live. What does he do with his time?

If you're a creative who beats yourself up about what success and happiness look like, please read McCloud's The Sculptor. It just really hit in so many ways.

A great single page that includes both catharsis and humor all at once. Peter David writing Mystique trying to get over Destiny, from X-Factor Annual (Vol 1) #6 and retold in the X-Men Wedding Special (2024)

Saw this on reddit earlier. Love when comic companies make playful jabs at each other.

Also, these designs just work? Can we see a What If of them?

What's the horror movie that got you into horror?

Mine was:

(Terrifying movie to see a a wee boy. But then my dad put on the original movie, which was a lot sillier at the end)

Trying Skircle. I deleted the last part because it felt spammy to have all the names shared. But I appreciate everyone in my rings! You've brought me great energy over tiring and frustrating weeks.

Show me your comics taste in four different comics.

(I HATE when I can only pick 4! There's so much to choose from!)
