It's a good week for friends! Had very tasty dinner today with a friend who moved to Ireland a while back (but is here for a week), and had coffee last Sunday with another friend who is moving to The Hague permanently after living abroad for 15 years

This poem was written while sitting in the women's restroom in the U.S. District Courthouse in Chicago Illinois while Greg Bovino stood outside in the hallway one of the magical things about writing poetry is that you can do it anywhere like while you are committing the crime of peeing while trans or while you are committing the crime of plastering the stall with stickers that say A TRANS PERSON PEED HERE which 18 U.S.C. §1361 defines as very naughty and you can do it all so fast that when you step out of the stall and wash your hands and open the door Greg Bovino will still be posing for his gathered cameras and all the gathered eyes will blink but for a second; fascist fantasy interrupted by a brief interlude of inconvenient continence.

Holy shit. Noam Shazeer, one of the original authors on the "Attention is All You Need" paper and Character.AI founder, came out as major transphobe. Like Trumpian levels of "this is child mutilation" of transphobia.

I do not believe that it is okay to sterilize children. You have the right to your beliefs. I do not share them.”

I was at a weaving workshop and it was SO AMAZING! Very cool. Less physically intense than I expected.
