If you want your WinUI app to launch to the tray, and optionally add a context menu to the tray, it is now SUPER simple with WinUIEx!

Results from a little WinUIEx experiment this weekend. Simple API to create regions and set them:
window.SetRegion(
Region.CreateRectangle(window.GetBounds())
- Region(rectangle.GetBounds());
Can also be used to clip the outside of the window to a custom shape. #WinUI

Finally, with Visual Studio Insiders and SSMS 22 Preview 1 I was able to set up a complete development environment for my work on the Arm PC!

Best of all, both preview products include substantial improvements in usability and performance. You don't even need an Arm PC to enjoy the upgrades. 😉

Maybe all the recent noise about some AI bubble is related to something I've noticed:

GitHub Copilot has gotten so much better lately that I find myself annoyed that it isn't even better!

Both are great books
Coming to my #winui session at @vslive.bsky.social next week? I'll have two copies of my Learn WinUI book and a copy of the #WindowsAppSDK modernization book by @qmatteoq.developerscantina.com to give away to aspiring Windows devs. Don't miss my session on Thursday afternoon!
