It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

This picture has been making the rounds again, and is being misidentified again.

This is a GOOSEFISH.

This is NOT a tasselled wobbegong shark.

It’s a great pic. I get why people are very excited about it. But it’s as easy to give it the right name as the wrong one.

What I WILL do is my part in leveraging this moment to help get Universal Childcare passed in NY during the 2026 legislative session.

One reason baristas are striking in 100+ cities: Starbucks has HUNDREDS of unresolved unfair labor practices.

The company has committed more labor law violations than any employer in modern history. On top of that, they're paying baristas over $35M for breaking NYC labor laws!

This article opens with a 3-year-old forced to represent herself in court. We live in a fundamentally sick country.
There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.

Worth a read. It's wild to me how far American society has regressed with respect to accepting transgender people, cross-dressing, gender-bending, etc. You couldn't turn on a TV, watch a movie or read a culture magazine in the 80s without seeing positive depictions.

We're all boiled frogs.
A very important thread. When I was probably no more than 10, I saw this picture of the woman known as Harlow in the Philly Inquirer. A little babygay, I was shocked that such a glamour queen could live in my hometown and even more shocked to see her described as "a former man."
