Honestly could not tell you a film that makes me laugh and smile more than this one, even after countless rewatches. Perfect at this time of year, too. Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987) recorded from BBC2 the other night.

Used PostSnap to get some photos printed and now they've started sending me shameless guff like this trying to get me to generate awful AI art. So I won't be using them again.

I don't check WrenCam for a few days and just look at what happens.

Is it just me or does this bit of wall look like Totoro?

Completed it mate.

Anyone ever bought this sort of thing for their window? I thought it would be a nice, quick festive thing to hang up. Over two hours later I'm still trying to untangle and fix it. I feel like I'm in the hardest ever round of the Krypton Factor.

Still feel a bit disappointed that another attempt was made to squeeze this story into two films, instead of giving us a TV series. It: Chapter Two (2019) on Prime.

Found where Portillo buys his trousers.

Started watching Welcome to Derry recently so decided to give this a re-watch before I get too far in. It: Chapter One (2017) on Prime.

Took this picture of some snowy mountains on my drive home today. (I wasn't actually driving when I took it,obvs.)

Very hard to get a PIGS IN BLANKETS sandwich wrong, but Tesco are having a bloody good go at it. It's criminally underfilled, the bacon hasn't been cooked for long enough and the bread tastes a bit stale. Only that sweet onion chutney saves it from being a complete write-off. 3/10.

This Amazon review made me properly chuckle.

Not entirely sure the festive market stall-holders of Berlin have too much to worry about just yet, but this is just such a baller move that I can only applaud it. The bread isn't the best, but the onion ratio is generous and I'm liking that curry sauce. CURRYWURST SAUSAGE gets 8/10.

Enjoying how long there is between movies and their sequels these days. 22 years with this one. Freakier Friday (2025) on Disney+.

Re-watched this cos it's great. Heretic (2024) on Prime.

Just finished reading Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman (author of Bird Box). I love a ghost story, especially at this time of year, and this is one of the best new ones I've read in a while. Well worth a read if you're in the mood for something a bit spooky.

No sign of him today, which I'm taking as a victory. To celebrate, here's a pic from today's walk.

Matalan stuff's a bit more expensive than it used to be, innit?

Getting my first Ghibli fix in a little while. The Boy and the Heron (2023) on Netflix.

Very much enjoyed this, at least partly because of all the Naruto-running. Weapons (2025) on Prime.

This is the packaging in question, incidentally. See how disgracefully unfestive it is, what with its red box, trees, twinkling lights and the word "Merry" plastered across it.

HONEY-GLAZED HAM, RED LEICESTER & FESTIVE CHUTNEY looks like an open goal to me, but sadly it goes sailing over the crossbar. There's not enough cheese, the lettuce is all wilted and nasty, and the chutney just tastes a bit weird. Even that cranberry and sage bread isn't as nice as it sounds. 4/10.
