This was the reality...there's a good dialect word around here 'Clarted' which means absolutely covered in mud or muck.
We were clarted up to the eyeballs!

We were talking music at work and I mentioned I liked The Talking Heads. The cleaner argued that Thora Hird was in the band. "She wasn't." I said, imagining her in one of those big David Byrne suits. "Yes she was, she definitely was!" I'm gonna show him this picture tomorrow & tell him he was right

I had a message at work from my daughter asking me to ring her. The tone was urgent so I rang her straight away. "What's wrong?" I asked, imagining all kinds of nightmare scenarios.
"Life size Chewbacca, yes or no?"
Obviously the answer is always, "Yes!"
So here he is, the wookiee in the garage

Making notes trying to adapt my novel (the one and only time I had the focus to finish writing a 100,000 word narrative) into a #screenplay. Any tips would be welcome 🙏 (there's a lot of subplots!) Should I just focus on the 'A' plot. #scriptskyuk #scriptsky

Have got into a neat post-work routine of listening to @dannyrobins.bsky.social "Uncanny"and watching the light drain from the sky through the window..which is fine, until I literally have to walk through the dark woods to work the next day (before the sun) the joys of a rural life!!

Living in Catalonia, early 2007...we had the same 3 DVD's (& no access to English TV) so spent a year watching nothing on an evening except Ant & Dec's 'Alien Autopsy', the Firefly boxset and the Jonah Hill movie Unaccepted.
All of which I still know word for word!

Watching this tonight...a movie for which I have a ridiculous fondness and that could have been tremendous (it has a messed up history) but I love it as is...the hard part is accepting that, next year, this movie is 20 years old! #timeflies

Watched the 4k of this classic last night and it is beautiful..4k really seems to do its thing right with 80s schlock that would otherwise be unloved (by everyone but me!)
