One new arrival this week and it’s awesome.
This might be the prettiest Switch 2 game yet and the game is so different to Mario Kart that it sits comfortably alongside it. My daughter and I have had great fun with it.

That said, I am left confused by a couple of things. Some inventory items that don’t seem to have a use and 2/3 songs in the credits that don’t seem to appear in the game. Maybe I missed something or there was some content left on the cutting room floor?

That’s Simon The Sorcerer Origins finished. If you’re a fan of the first then you’ll find this a very worthy sequel. The best since 2. It’s a reassuring traditional adventure with a good script, good puzzles and a great performance from Chris Barrie. Smallthing did a great job. Bring on the remake!

Big thanks to @turfmasta.bsky.social for creating this GBA cartridge extender. It’s intended to make the e-reader work with Analogue Pocket but I actually got it so I can play Boktai and ensure the sun sensor is correctly exposed!

When you go on holiday, do you take a handheld with you and play by the pool, the beach etc?
I’ve been doing it for decades but I can’t remember ever seeing a single other soul do the same. Does no one else really do this? I love sinking some quality time into a holiday game.
