And another appalling decision in Indiana. What about free speech? Or is college nothing but an indoctrination program?
Indiana colleges must answer how new degrees commit to American values
Under new requirements, universities must answer whether proposed degree programs exercise a "commitment to the core values of American society."

Someone I respect professionally stated on a podcast recently how he agrees with many of the things Charlie Kirk said. My response was to email him Zeteo's coverage and ask him "how can you say you want your community to be welcoming and still support Charlie Kirk?"

17 quotes you should read from the right-wing activist and Trump ally who was tragically shot and killed on Wednesday in Utah.

"Earlier this year, Musk built a gas-burning power plant large enough to power a small city, claimed it was exempt from air pollution laws, and placed it next to Boxtown, a Black neighborhood where he built a new data center. People in Boxtown started breathing polluted air – and dying faster."

Let's just call this what it is -- A TAX as in:

President Trump just raised taxes -- NATIONALLY -- on all travelers without proper papers.
TSA to charge $18 fee for travelers without proper ID
New airport kiosks will rely on biometrics to verify passengers who show up without a Real ID or passport.

As always Anil has good thoughts. His musings on AI are right on target. Specifically his comment that AI has gone mainstream. The real issue here is legislative control over AI to minimize the societal damage.

Agreed. Landman is nothing but propaganda for the oil industry. Please note that I have watched it and it is slick, a good watch and utter propaganda.
Big Oil Hijacked ‘Landman’ for Its Propaganda
I wasn’t planning on writing about the hit TV show Landman, about a Texas oil man, mainly because I haven’t actually, how do you say, watched it. That seems like kind of a prerequisite. But Landman ke...

After Bill Cassiday, a MEDICAL DOCTOR, voted to confirm the walking tumor of insanity that is RFK Jr, I don't blame Democrats for not trusting him on anything.

Cassiday has zero medical credibility at this point -- he was the one Senator who was a doctor and he voted to confirm a vaccine denier.
Cassidy pushes his Obamacare plan. Democrats aren't biting.
With Obamacare subsidies set to expire at year end and insurance bills skyrocketing, senators are at loggerheads.

Say what you want about how important entrepreneurs are and the importance of tech but who actually thinks Elon Musk is more important THAN EVERY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER in America???

That's the message that the Tesla board just sent to the world.

And that's both not true and insane.

When people get upset about ICE in Chicago and Charlotte, I always think of Berwyn Heights where a drug raid on the (black) MAYOR'S HOUSE happened and they SHOT AND KILLED HIS TWO DOGS.

This happened in 2008. ICE has been a long time in the making.

No action ever took place against those cops.

What's another HALF TRILLION dollars if bribing the American people keeps Trump in power.

I fundamentally believe that when historians write the history of post World War II America, their great lament will be that we could have built paradise and we wasted our money on idiocy.

The president says the checks are going out by mid-2026, though Congress will have to sign off first.
