But cat's don't... ah, I see the date is wrong, it must be an American cat.

On the other hand, they may not.

Life?

Well, yes. Rather than waste time trying to define them, thinking of just normal usage gives a strong hint:

I just experienced stubbing my toe on a rock.
Oh, poor you!

I just experienced the notion of freedom.
Perhaps that was one beer too many - why not try lying down for a while?

Do you, though?

I feel a rock, and experience that perception.

I think of, and discuss freedom as a notion, but don't feel or experience it, though I might feel free of debt.

Ditto the number 2, which can be appoached, and understood in many different ways, but never felt, nor experienced.

Isn't it only lacking because the development of maths has yet to catch up with developments in biology?

What might freedom link to?

It isn't even a unitary thing, since there's the distinction between the mad 'freedom to', and the civilised 'freedom from'.

I said maths objects are intermediate, linking to non-physical objects.

I wonder how they worked that one out.. You don't need the proviso that r ≠ s.

Yes.

Our brains, but objects link to something. Notions, concepts, needn't.

Mathematical objects are part of a middle-ground, you can't touch them, but we can agree they're there.

Chairs have the same nature as bugbears and differentisl equations?

You've got a pretty broad church there.

What does 'nature' mean, in this context?

Isn't this rather a 'notice', or 'warning' or 'caution'?

It doesn't offer any advice on what to do about it, so it isn't an 'advisory'.

Being ordinary is difficult? Why would anyone need to try?

It seems peculiar that holidays are harvested in a particular season - when are they planted?

I came across somebody, with a degree in biochemistry, who thought the BBB was a simple seni-permeable membrane.

Which is, I think, generally quite common.

Yes, that's right, thank you for your correction.
