Yeah Rybb’s charge shot is super good as a defensive tool, whereas Decker’s pierces through everything
I use Decker because getting enough hits with her drill makes it grow 5x bigger, so it’s crazy as both an attack and defense option, though I hear Rybb’s side shot has the highest dps in the game

I think there’s a distinction here: a game can be called parryslop if the parry exists as a bandaid solution that overshadows any other mechanical depth but otherwise isn’t about the parry

Sekiro is *about* the parry, like how Mario is *about* the jump and Sonic is *about* going fast

I genuinely think what makes me happiest about Air Riders is that the rest of the game outside of City Trial is in fact aces - the racing sicko within me means sometimes I actually prefer just running Air Ride and Top Ride online

On the complete opposite end, I exclusively played that game using the touch controls because I was 7 and my dad said “well that’s the whole point of it, you might as well use it” but that meant playing the entire game with the pen in my left hand and oh man that was rough

I so desperately need a Sonic boss to be a race that has the exact constant push and pull of the sequence that leads directly into that screenshot, holy shit

Yeah you never really lose anything, you just grow slower - I think it also helps that there aren’t any tracks or character combinations that make me groan like there always is in other online games - when the most common pick is the funny hamster on a scooter I can’t be upset lmao
