Ok @supabase.com self-hosted version is indeed fully back on track. Like - all services are getting steady updates again 🙏.

I was skimming the [email protected] changes and started to wonder what crazy stuff people must've been doing to find such bugs.

async style directives?

Turns out it's just @dummdidumm.bsky.social & @rich-harris.dev actively probing for async / forking edge cases! svelte-changelog.dev/package/svelte

A new Linux-reply-person pattern is emerging. DHH? Never heard of.
Fascinating.

Oh wow, 🥁 for @tolin.ski‘s SvelteKit tutorial!

Hi Justin, your response made me re-try Copilot and I skimmed some reviews on Reddit. I still arrive at my conclusion (held since last winter):

Cursor's inline / tab completion is still miles ahead of Copilot's. It a) provides formally correct completions + b) anticipates better.  My Copilot UX:

I f*ing knew it!
There’s an English-language article in one of those expat magazines or the New Yorker or something like that about the special type of greyness in the Berlin sky. We have 3 seasons of autumn and 1 short summer.

I curse at Claude Sonnet and Google's Codex a lot, but damn, Haiku on component level hits different. The velocity enables a nice feedback loop / iteration pace. And the Svelte MCP's autofixer add final touches. What a gift from @paolo.ricciuti.me and @khromov.se!

I somehow went down a rabbit hole…

This is more or less my work-life balance before and after async Svelte (++).

What’s even more worrisome is that I’m back to only having a 10€ Copilot subscription and nothing else (no Warp/Cursor/Claude) so this even isn’t excessive vibe-coding or so 🫠

FML.

Funny stat for the 3 legacy projects that still run on Vercel
(all 3 are static websites so I'm not using any edge functions on my side)
October 21, 2025 at 8:45 AM
- the newer Svelte 5 version on Netlify

A bit later in the evening so my local network latency might be a bit better. But CF and Vercel also load in +/- 300ms right now

Next comparison (just out of curiosity) - static Astro 5 website with interactive Svelte map as Hero

- left: Svelte 5 on Cloudflare Workers
- right: Svelte 5 (90% non-runes) on Vercel

(ignore "Finish" as the json only loads after user interaction)

Left sight has a few more features.
