The last line is exactly it. Any conference that gets ND gets more money. The committee is run by the conferences. It is always about the money. ND in a conference championship game is more money. It makes them part of the "club". Right now, they don't really have an advocate in the system.

I almost wonder if this is the conferences subconsciously trying to force ND to join a conference. Also a lot of Alabama bias. It's not going to happen. However, I do suspect that ND will be given the least amount of leeway by the committee as long as they remain independent.

I just saw that. Thanking a Florida Lt Governor is like thanking a shovel of dirt for stopping a flood. There is no more useless position. I think Florida once went a year and half without one and no one noticed.

About the only possible good thing from the announcements is the possibility of Kei cars becoming legal. I still doubt it will happen. I hope it does and the Japanese car companies clean the US automakers clocks selling good cheap small cars. Just don't try them on an interstate.
