So I admit freely that this is a welcome cleansing, though not entirely planned.

The recent PLC changes was the drop in the water, which motivated me to explore did:web as an alternative.

My plan is to run both accounts in parallel for a few days and pickup the most important accounts/persons I followed.

I followed a few too many starter packs at the start of Bluesky and got to that ~4k following. Also because the Following feed was so much better than Discover, I stuffed it.

Maybe there is some trickery possible with just stuffing all records into the repository offline, without sending you new record notifications?

Or is atproto clever enough to ignore backfilling records with a creation time way in the past?

As far as I know, since records are tied to the DID, uploading old records to a new repository creates new records, right?

So would send out a gazillion of notifications to all those accounts I replied to, doesn't it?
