My kids nearly died from cringe when I said "drip" at lunch one day. It was a few years ago, so maybe the kids don't even say that anymore, but that would make it even funnier, now.

On Saturday in KC, it's supposed to rain through the day until it turns to snow when the temp drops in the evening, and then I suppose that the streets will be icy on Sunday-Monday. Be careful out there!

I didn’t particularly enjoy it, and Eraserhead kinda freaked me out when I saw it many years ago, but there are other David Lynch films that I liked much better.

I think Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, and Mulholland Drive are essential if you care to check out more of his work. The Straight Story is an excellent film, atypically not weird at all, so I'd recommend it to someone who wouldn't usually like David Lynch.

I think he chose to make a prequel film because he believed it was a mistake to solve Laura's murder at the end of Season 1, so he hoped that people would be interested in more of her story. But if you're not into it, you're probably not going to be convinced by watching any more.

Right, they meant to create a cliffhanger to get the audience hyped for a 3rd season, but the network decided that the ratings weren't good enough for renewal. So then David Lynch made the prequel film, Fire Walk With Me, instead.

My elementary school Music teacher taught us "Sloop John B," which has stuck with me because even at the time it seemed like an odd song to have children sing for their parents, even if our parents were Boomers.

Also "why didn't they have an open convention?" began as a Trump campaign talking point, and do people really think that a convention delegate vote would've resulted in anything but party support of the Vice President? If they had improbably picked Newsom, that wouldn't have created a schism?
