fox rlly benefits from taking his time and pushing the enemy into a worse and worse position via laser or stray hit (randy bair / nair shine) and sheik rlly only has needles to fall back on in neutral if you are defensive enough, so its quite easy to suffocate her over time as long as fox doesnt die

full hop is rlly good if you have platforms, and also holding space + lasering then shielding the needles if shes being rlly obvious about it is also a good outcome for fox. as long as you make charging needles net negative on avg (2-3 lasers + shielding needles counts!) it should be chill overall

and before that she should just eat a couple lasers and fox should be threatening a grab or a nair shine if the sheik doesnt cancel the charge and move. the needle game can be rlly polarizing but they also rlly need to be playing around it specifically to actually be scary

kinda?? they are rlly hard to use effectively, theyre rlly good for edgeguarding and sneaky neutral openings but the only way the latter happens is getting hit with a stack of needles --> getting grabbed. you shouldnt be scared of needles until she has at least like half a stack,

also the drill (+ down input for fast fall) also gives you CC + asdi down afterwards so if they do hit you with dash attack you just get to waveshine grab them. if they whiff punish w grab u gotta start fading back the drill but thats also just wp at that point. cc is supppeerrr busted against sheik

yeah exactly you only have to be scared of sheik in dash attack range (boost grab goes juuuust past this range), when i see sheik dashing in i just throw out a drill in place or a run up grab (b4 they grab me) and if they try coming in they get comboed and otherwise the drill ends and back 2 neutral

her only burst options are dash attack and boost grab so if you dont run in against her those r the only ways she has to fight back against laser, and both of them lose to drill in place :p
