Yes that day and the next there were reports with photo-recordings of long lines of washed up dead birds and marine creatures incl Conger eel in amongst ripped up kelp, on beaches all along the Sussex coast so shame is really an understatement. I found it deeply shocking & it opened my eyes.

Great captures of a beloved seabird Rob! Never seen #Gannets alive down here in coastal Sussex, nearest colony being just off Cherbourg, but sadly found one washed up on Hove beach one yr, we think as part of bycatch of supertrawlers in E Channel.
