I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.
No refugee underfunded a school.
No refugee closed a hospital.
No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.
We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

Our employer’s decision to end UCU’s co-ordinated efforts against casualisation has added significance given they’ve also dismantled the post leading the PGRs as Staff campaign. It is, however, consistent with an attitude which embraces the increased use of fixed-term and zero hours contracts.

Today, Shane O’Neill, our interim Principal announced the University of Dundee needs to cut 632 jobs to be financially sustainable.
Also there are 237 vacancies (in part due to the recruitment freeze since Nov).

Today, at 29 years of age, I voted for the first time in a German election. I never thought it was worth the hassle given I no longer live there. Until I saw the fascist AfD placed second in the polls, and the so-called "Christian" Democrats relying on their votes in the Bundestag.
