I created, contributed to, and edited this series... so when it was orphaned by D&O Books closing down, it only made sense to publish them. I'm proud to announce that Code 4 Press (my imprint usually reserved for my own work) will re-issue A GRIFTER'S SONG!

This little baby arrived this week! Contains my short story "The Second Degree" written by my fantasy/sci-fi alter-ego.

What's it about? Empathy. And how it can fight crime. In a way you won't guess. So, pick up the title and give it a read!

I mentioned last month that THE SILENCE OF THE DEAD won the Public Safety Writers Association's Gold Medallion in the Police Procedural category... well, here's photographic proof! 😆L to R: Me, Barbara Hodges, the emcee (dressed as a bassett hound for the costume party), and co-author Colin Conway.

I am joined this episode by the vivacious Colleen Coble, who has written over 80 novels, most of them in the thriller/suspense/mystery genre. Plenty to like in this interview and you might just discover your new favorite author!

New episode! This time out, I'm chatting with retired OSI agent, Derrick Jackson! Derrick had a super interesting career and drew on the early stages of that for the setting and plot of his novel, SHADOW ONE. Check him out!

Happy to see THE SILENCE OF THE DEAD (written with Colin Conway) was a finalist for the SPOTTED OWL AWARD, given by the The Friends Of Mystery to PNW authors.

Didn't win, but SotD was ranked #7 out of 71 titles the group considered, so not too shabby.
