Weekend Project- fencing the backyard! And the reason for the fence 😃🐕‍🦺. Son & DIL put in hard work on a rainy weekend. Used metal fence posts - more eco friendly and wont rot. It looks so good, giving us privacy, garden space, and most important a place where the dog Roman can run free.

Happy #internationalbatappreciationday Lets show some love ❤️🦇 for the many ways bats make our lives better. Like eating "bad" bugs and pollinating agave (used for tequila), bananas, and mangoes.

New neighbor. Urban coyotes are fairly common. This beautiful juvenile hung out for a while, chased a squirrel, and then went back into the woods behind us. Never feed coyotes, secure trash, and keep dogs on a leash are ways to be a good neighbor. #environmentaleducation #wildlifeconservation

You can garden in shady spots! There are many vegetables that will thrive in 3 - 5 hours of sun a day. I have a video on 13 of them in the comments. #organicgardening #beginnergardening
