I'm only 450 pages in, and King Sorrow, by @joe-hill.bsky.social (sorry about the tag, old bean), & it's already in my top 20. I've read over 3,000 books (and so far, have listened to 1,600). Hit a six on this one.
The only reason I haven't finished it yet, is that I don't want the journey to end.

I've just finished reading 'Angel Down', by Daniel Kraus.
I'm completely blown away.
It's a work of high art; poetic, beautiful, grim, hopeful, & honest.
I thought the format would be problematic for me... but it melts into being exactly how it should be.
& that confuses me now that I've finished.
