Drysdale has looked incredible so far this year. Nobody thought his defensive game would ever look this strong and he is still around the age dmen usually breakout offensively. Too soon to call this trade a failure.

I do wonder how much having Martone in his back pocket changes Briere’s thinking. Other factors are if Danny views Dvorak as a 3rd line player who can slot in at center next year and beyond after seeing his fit and what Dvorak might be willing to extend for. If he can get a 1st, I think he takes it.

Other factors are if Danny views Dvorak as a 3rd line player who can slot in at center next year and beyond after seeing his fit and what Dvorak might be willing to extend for. If he can get a 1st, I think he takes it.
He’s been awesome so far. Always generates offense and is surprisingly active on the forecheck and backcheck. Would love to see the Flyers extend him but I don’t think there’s any rush.

I never get tired of hearing Martone say the Flyers were his team growing up. Absolutely love that his focus is already on being his best to bring a cup back to Philly.

That would be exciting to see when pushing to comeback late. I’m not too familiar with Kyrou’s game. I thought he was more of a one dimensional player. I’ll have to take a closer look at his defensive game.

That’s a good point. Would you expect them to be used together? I guess Andrae might be a good enough 2-way dman to make that work but I always assumed they would be used on different pairs.

Foerster has been incredible and it’s good to see the analytics match what we’ve seen from Drysdale. He’s started this year as one of our best players

Yeah that was my takeaway too. Most importantly, there’s no evidence that Michkov seems to have a bad relationship with any of these guys. He seems focused on improving his game and being the player he wants to be

Seems like the new coach has the Phantoms skating well! Another strong move by Danny to have an immediate Andrae replacement ready to go in Lehigh Valley. Future is bright!

Zegras already seems to be a leader in this locker room. He gets me fired up to root for this team and he’s only been here for 15 games. I’m sure he’ll learn from this one and come back ready to go Wednesday.

Good write-up. Seeler has held his own in a top-4 role and been a surprisingly strong fit with Drysdale. I’m still not convinced he’s a top-4 dman when it’s time to compete, but he’s been a huge part of the Flyers success limiting goals against. Tocchet’s system seems to elevate goalies and dmen.
