Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Mom, musician, family historian, cook, gardener, perpetual learner of French. The middle of the ocean is my happy place. One of my sons asked me to play SOT w/him on his birthday & I’ve been hooked ever since.

Wish I could “like” this more than once!

"I fell deeply under the spell of dwarfs - those bright-hooded, snowy-bearded dwarfs. I visualised them so intensely that I came to the very frontiers of hallucination. Once, walking in the garden, I was for a second not quite sure that a little man had not run past me in the shrubbery."

As well as the thatched roof I love these windows at Granny’s Summerhouse at Charlecote, Warwickshire. In fact I might put one of these on my wish list to Santa Claus for Christmas.✨🎅🏻 ✨

A gold and silver watch by Chaumet Paris, circa 1850.

Set with rubies and diamonds. The dial is made from jasper. Interestingly incorporating gem set dolphin motifs.
Dolphins are the symbol of the Dauphins of France (the heir apparent).

They say ‘fake it ’til you make it’, which might have proved embarrassing to the woman who once wore this snake bracelet, if the gilding chipped off at a party … to reveal the bronze beneath. Discount luxury, same as it ever was. 🏺 1/
