This is not normal, unacceptable, 8th person to die in ICE custody this year…

Johnny Noviello 49, was found unresponsive June 23 at Bureau of Prisons Federal Detention Center in Miami, according to ICE. Noviello is the eighth person to die in ICE custody in 2025.

Jamaica grants citizenship to the overseas born children of Jamaicans. I was issued a Jamaican passport in 1963 as the son of a Jamaican father. Children of Jamaican mothers were granted the same right in the 1970s.

The point is that they’re still allowed to do so. It’s likely they will in most major population centers.

Schools are allowed to continue to offer the books. Specific Parents may choose to opt their children out. This is liable to be a fairly small minority of parents outside of rural areas, and parts of the South.
