I was the opposite: I had to cd into Windows to WIN for Windows programs. I ironically wrote a bunch of batch files for the DOS games I played, resulting in a bloated mess of files on the C:\

Quest Pro. It used to be the Index, but I have grown too used to eye and face tracking, and most apps I use can't benefit from the 144hz, especially with stability of frame rate (90 is easier to ensure than 120 and above).

We already had Microsoft attempt to reaper a bunch of systems with their OS End of Life and sometimes a driver isn't available for an updated OS. However, I haven't heard of a driver outright refusing to use a purchased product up until now.

Even my Oculus DK2 continues to work on latest drivers!

I think it depends on your workflow. For some people, setting up the necessary components is part of their everyday workflow.
While I do like the frame-by-frame, I feel you can get a mixture of the two to save time and still have the additional attention to detail you get with the frame-by-frame.

It also acts as a more unique springboard for other things. Raspberry Pis run Raspbian, which is based Debian, which is what Ubuntu and (by extension) Mint are based on. So if you want to get savvy, you can now goof with the credit card micro computer and what you learn there applies also to Mint.
