I was born in a village where it was #legal #monthly to have a a Halloween sacrifice, to ensure the gates of hell would open October 31st.

It was madness baking with the pain, from the shackles around our ankles; & with no respite, from the greedy giants hunger for laser worm pie.
We tried to laser worm beam the shackles loose!

I could feel & see the sky burn, at the ends of creation. I wondered was this how it had all started; a full circle.
Shouting pulled me out of my thought:

But unknown to her, she was not from this realm; her fate doomed.
Or maybe not—she possessed ancient wisdom.
This witch had met her match; this sword stealer, was wizard Merlin’s understudy—her quest had just begun.
