T-minus 36 hrs until the party. I’ve cut out the second layer, and have started to sew pieces together. I’m pressing seams for the first time in my life. So far it’s looking like the vision in my head… we will see if it fits. Currently debating lining it. That would also be a first for me.

Zion National Park! Hiking there, especially early in the morning, was a completely unique experience.

Happy Dragon Age Day!! I’m just a few hours of play away from finishing DA:TV (mid-Minrathous), here’s a screenshot from very early on! I’ve saved so many screenshots from this game, the environments are gorgeous.

Every weekend my partner gets up before I do, and our dog, who prefers him over me almost all the time, always comes back to bed after her breakfast. No matter what my partner is doing. I can’t tell if it’s to protect me or just get to nap in bed more. But I love it.

Of course today of all days I will post cute animal photos!! This is a baby elephant from Kruger National Park in South Africa, who we startled with our car. He acted all tough for about 30 seconds, then went running to mum.

There’s a place in the main square you can go underneath the square & see excavation of the layers underneath, nice break from WW2 history. It has an audio tour you can get in any language. Schindler’s Museum is also in Krakow, and is worth the visit. Also try literally ANY vodka, my fav is this one

So I spent most of September in South Africa at Kruger National Park doing fieldwork, & driving around taking photos. I was struck by the amazing density of animals in KNP! I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity, & I recommend rent a car to go at your own pace.
