If a tax rise results in improved public services, I think most of us will see past the policy change.
Obviously, I’d rather see a big tax on the super rich, but I am open to solutions that are swift and simple to administer, so the benefits quickly outweigh the pain.

I have religious friends who are convinced their daughters will be virgins who marry virgins, so will never be at risk. Unwilling to consider any possible scenario that might alter the stakes 🙄
