Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

BC has offered to expand production of the existing TMX line. BC has offered to dredge Burrard Inlet to allow bigger tankers. These practical concessions will vastly increase oil production. Carney should support these feasible options, instead of this highly unlikely, divisive pipeline. #cdnpoli

What is the grand bargain here?
Is a bitumen pipeline the path to net zero? Is A significant industrial carbon tax and investment in carbon capture the real end game?

Alberta’s affordability crisis is squeezing nonprofits. The historic Old Y in Calgary’s Beltline now sits empty after 65 orgs were forced out. Rising rents threaten essential services. We need real solutions to keep communities safe and strong. #SupportNonprofits #YYC

Danielle Smith is dismantling public healthcare piece by piece. If she isn’t stopped, universal care will be decimated.

Mark Carney must draw a line and that starts with standing up for healthcare.

PM Carney best be careful, because so far he's completely mishandling the optics around this MOU with Alberta. Alienating British Columbia is bad, bad politics and people are hopping mad how this "deal" has gone down. Plenty of time to get it right, but he's getting wrong so far. #cdnpoli

Ukraine’s interests are our interests.

They are inseparable.

This is why we will continue to stand firmly by Ukraine in the negotiations ahead.

A central point is the question of financing for Ukraine including the use of the immobilised Russian sovereign assets.

B.C. Premier David Eby says he wants any potential energy deal between Alberta and the federal government to include a cap, or potentially a ban, on the use of taxpayers’ dollars to build a pipeline.
