Just look at that absolute wonderous scenery! Unreal! 👀
I jammed a #fieldrecording rig in this lone tree for a few hours. Volcanic cinder desert all around, above 7,000’. Birds landed, flitted, about, had a nice chat. Lovely soft gusts, that “jet engine” sound of wind through pine needles. I listen now and I’m transported back there.

Why are we still calling it "human resources"?

I've thought about this term so often and it makes me angry. Humans as resources to buy up in bulk or – as we see so often in game development – to get rid of when the shareholders demand the line goes up.

We spent a whole day tracking lions and when we found them, we decided to stick around so we could record their calls. Somehow we picked the laziest ones around, because they slept a lot, yawned and stretched but did not make one sound until nightfall. When they finally did roar, it was magnificent
